My picky sister (who doesn't like much) enjoyed her mushroom jack burger with onions rings. Everything we ate was amazing from the seasoned fries to my meat lover bowl. I purchased a mixed bowl (chicken/lamb, rice, lettuce, tomato, fries, yum yum sauce) and a Mushroom Jack Burger with seasoned fries. Loads upon loads of flavor had my mouth giddily screaming with delight! It's a good thing I made it home before taking a bite. Five stars! No, Five stars and Michelin Tire I say!😏🫃🍔”

The service was amazing everyone the employees were so sweet and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. Besides that the food was incredible! “Checkmate is the best burger in the tri-city area. I don't eat burgers that much, but needed a hangover remedy. We had the cheeseburger, the ultimate, gyro rice bowl, and beef hot dog. Everything was fresh and superflavorful. Even the griddle flavor bested other burger joints (city, 5 guys, smash, etc). Amazing food. Top service. Odd location (9 and Vandyke). However, as a centerline/south warren resident, there is a food quality vacuum. This place is an oasis. Please stop by on your way home from the bar or lunch. 4.9 top reviewed place for a reason.
